Acceptance terms
Scrap metal is accepted in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 960, “Procedures for the Purchase and Sale of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metal Scrap”.
Individuals delivering scrap metal must present an identity document and provide bank account details to which payment will be made in euros. The delivered quantity is determined using certified truck and railway wagon scales.
During acceptance, a handover certificate and a scrap metal origin certificate are prepared.
Prices and payment terms
The final value of scrap metal is determined by its quantity, quality, and the purchase price in effect at the time of acceptance. Quantity is measured using certified scales, while quality is assessed by a qualified inspector.
When necessary, a special measuring instrument is used in addition to visual inspection. The inspector assesses contamination and determines the amount of inseparable non-metallic impurities excluded from payment. Waste remaining after the scrap metal has been unloaded is not considered contamination.
Payment for delivered scrap metal is made by bank transfer to the supplier’s account. In most cases, payment is completed within 24 hours.
